Fun spot. The food was good and staff was nice
If I was 21 still, **** faced off of Jager and eating this potpie I could understand raving about it. Being older its ok bar food at best trying disguising itself as something better to justify the price.
Onto the filling. It didn't have gravy. It was more of a mash potatoes with some pieces of chicken and a few peas and carrots. It resembled dog food more than traditional chicken potpie. The bowl was large however the filling was about 1/3 the size of the bowl.
I was out for a walk and I wanted someplace to rest up for a while. The proprietor suggested that next time I walk over to Starbucks. I guess I'm not welcome.
Maybe something changed with the Potpie but just because its in a big bowl with puff pastry doesn't make it good. The bowl was big. The puff pastry looked good. However when you poke a hole in the pastry it deflates much like the turkey in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.
The bar is decent. Came here on a 'date, I think, and it has the ambience of a dive bar. Music is loud and there wasn't a lot of people there -- of course it was after midnight. Bathroom is tiny. I mean, like, you're basically pissing in the sink. Clientele was mixed and they had a DJ playing some decent jams. I'd give it another shot if I were ever in the area again.
Place is awesome. Food and service is always good, prices are a steal compared to the amount of food you get. Half off appetizers from 4-7 is always a win and ladies night Friday nights get wild. 10/10 place!
