I went to life fitness because my wife went there for her legs and hip pain and they were excellent! I had shoulder pain due to a muscle tear, weakness, cartilidge wear and inflammation. Dave and his staff addressed the issue with a variety of stretches and strength exercises. My pain was bad enough to the point where it had extended deep into my shoulder blade and into my chest. By the end of my sessions I had gained back almost full rotation and flexibility in my shouder, built up a good bit of extra strength and had no pain. They have a great family feel in the office. They talk to you about everyday life and if you like talking about Game of Thrones then Dave is your guy. He can talk about that for ages lol. It's good to have a place like this that gets your body better and treats you like a friend and not just another patient. Highly recommended!
STAY AWAY
I came to this location after a car accident. I was treated for neck and mid-back pain. Anna Lou was awesome and taught me a variety of exercises that were easy enough to do at home, in the car, or at work in order to address my pain. The place is clean, and the staff is professional, friendly and caring. I'd recommend it to anyone, and would go there again for treatment.
Please do your aching body a favor. Dont call this place. Now i see why they get preapproved cause noone would pay for a service , that wanted to rehab the wrong shoulder. The hospital verifies the shoulder from point A to B to make sure the operate on correct shoulder, To have this place say doctors lie and this place rehabs wrong shoulder intensionally. I have to say i am sorry for being so long, but can u imagined what could have happened if i stayed. I might not have either arm working.
He said I would be able to be use my shoulder in the same way as before without the pain , i had before surgery , due to wearing down my shoulder. I was so excited, I called the ones recommended by the doctor and found my insurance did not cover those and called my insurance to be given this place Life Fitness Physical Therapy. I called and they could not see me for 4 days , i was ok with that. I asked
Update, they call this morning May 3 , after I cancelled services late May 2 nd, they claim they could get me in today. Its very bad business to make someone suffer and find a different place, before finding an opening.only because I cancelled. I would never reccommend this place, its pain that makes you call in first place, you dont need the therapist to add to the pain.
I was very confused that he felt the surgeon lied and my father had same surgery 3 yrs ago and was golfing at 77 yrs old. I just kept my cool. They said i would hear back in a few days and they would get approval, they always do but , they need it before they start , i said can i schedule for next week its would have been almost 2 full weeks and going on 3 since doctor cleared me. She said they cant to approved, i said i would pay if its not approved i need to get started, i mean thats what you have to sign anyway. The girl refused and said she would call by end of week. Did not happen. Instead monday, 3 full weeks since doctor released me for therapy.she finally called with approval. But get this.... she could not schedule me to the following wed. Another 8 days 4 weeks since discharged. I call my family cause i thought i was stuck due to insurance. They called API around corner on Harford rd. They took me in that same night and scheduled me for next day for treatment. I am going to have 3. Therapy sessions before my first one would be coming up next Wed May 10 th. And final note , they said i could schedule for 2 weeks in advance but they only had wed and thur nights. How can 3 days a week be done on 2 nights. No way , no time to recover from and pain from therapy. I just got off phone from Life Fitness Physical Therapy on 2318 E Joppa Rd 21234
Once i come do I start that day they said after the insurance approves me , I would start within a day or 2.
On the initial appointment i filled out papers and saw a physical therapist that said he would work on my other shoulder too as it is not at full range, i said the ortho doctor just ordered a prescription fir my right implanted shoulder he said he will work on that too. He asked what the ortho doc told me about my shoulder replacement. I said he said full use in 3/4 months. He even has it printed in his manual he provides for patients to see all weeks and how each week allows more movement to get back to normal. I am 50 yrs old.he said doctors never tell the truth i could never lift more than 20 lbs and wont have any more than a portion of the range i had before.
After having total shoulder replacement surgery on April 7 th, I was told to return to my orthopaedic doctor on April 17 th. At the appointment I was told everything went perfect and instructed me to get into therapy.
I've been here twice for two separate injuries, (knee/upper back) and I recovered earlier than expected from both. I'm pain free now thanks to David and his staff.

I came in with a knee injury and Dave worked with me to get my knee back into shape. He was excellent and very professional. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs physical therapy.
