Really surprised by this great park so close to the city. We followed a fairly easy 1 1/2 mile trail that crossed over a stream twice and was hilly in places - really fun and interesting!

Big parking lot. Lots of great hiking trails that are well marked. We hiked back to a nice waterfall. According to the map there is another larger waterfall but we didn't hike back that far. There is a playground and a bathroom facility, but the bathrooms weren't open while we were there. They're near a sports field so I'm assuming they are only open for a game.

Double Rock is a larger Park than you might think it is: follow the blazes or a friend. Start at the far end of the parking lot, and go down the hill to the stream. Many options from there. You can go downstream on the rocks if you're feeling adventurous. I usually cross and take the path to the right which then turns and parallels the stream downwards.

I spent many hours of great fun and wonderful memories with my lil princess we use to walk up stream and down up and down and over waterfalls and then some. Memories that will forever last in my mind and someday I pray to make many more very soon.

This park is much larger then meets the eye. Park at the end of the park and pick a trail, while there are two different playgrounds there's many different trails. Be sure to follow the one that leads you to a beautiful stream with rocks to jump and climb on. While you shouldn't bring a stroller for your smaller children you should use a back pack carrier instead. Its worth the hike. If your into Geocaching there are a few them hidden amongst the woods that are alot of fun to find. There's a little something for everyone here. Photographers be prepared to bring your cameras along for some breath taking photos of the rocks that litter the stream. Definitely a wonderful and magical park for this areas locals. We came all the way from York, Pa to visit this wonderful place!
