Took my 2003 Nissan 350z there to change some dry rotted belts. They were professional, worked around a drop off time and were very moderately priced (labor costs and belt price). Did not feel like I was getting ripped off like the dealership. Will certainly do business with them again.

In January 2011 Tim's Auto replaced an upper and lower motor mount on my ford focus. In April I was driving on 695 at 2 AM when my power steeling was lost. My car battery light came on and the car overheated. I had to manually turn the wheel to avoid being hit by a tractor trailer coming my way. My insurance company towed my car home at which point my father looked at the vehicle. It was evident that the cap to the motor mount that Tim's had replaced had come off and got down into the serpentine belt and chewed it up. It destroyed the belt and caused damage to the pulley. We got it back to Tim's whom admitted this was their mistake, saying it was a manufacture defective part. At first they wanted us to pay but we stated it was under a year warranty and would not pay. Two days later the car overheated, again, and Tim's towed it to their shop where they took their good old time diagnosing the problem. They said it was the thermostat and wanted us to pay $430. We said when the car originally overheated this destroyed the thermostat. They said no, not possible and wrote us a bill for towing, a diagnosis, the thermostat and labor. Even after we had a mechanic state that the original overheating of the car directly caused the thermostat to go bad, Tim's would not accept responsibility. We have a receipt that indicates the motor mount cap went into the engine, thereby causing the damage we know of now and most likely further damage not seen yet. Tim's is not honoring the work they did to my car and the damage that their poor workmanship has caused my car to sub-stain. I am now going to have to take my car somewhere else and have to pay for the faulty mistakes of Tim's.
