I'm not easily pleased, especially when I'm dropping $1500. I become very particular and OCD. This shop is great as long as you're patient with the purchase. It's the best Performance experience I've had, hands down. I've bought from the Columbia store and the Rockville store before.
I lost the little card they gave me and now I have to pay full price every time. They said I need the card.
I came here from Rockville because it was the only store in the DMV that had the size I needed for a particular bike.
EPIC FAIL. Set up appointment by store manager to look over my bike, not even to service it well aware that they work and assemble bikes purchased through Amazon, which my bike was bought from. A week later, the manager called back and stated "we do not service bikes not purchased through their store." A bit of a contradiction, since they ASSEMBLE Amazon orders! This is a poor business practice. Will contact Amazon Headquarters to notify this bike shop's duplicitous behavior. Avoid this store.
Guess they can't look into their sales history to see that I already bought a plan...
Update: Had to make an appt 3 weeks out to get a tune up. They day I'm to bring it in they said I should have brought it in a day or two before to make sure it was done on time.. What?
I bought a tune-up service from them for the life of my bike that I bought from them.
Why do I continue to deal with this place?
My last few visits at this location were horrible experiences.... Actually, unless you know exactly what you want, don't waste your time. They've always sucked. Seriously.... These folks must be raking in the money to be able to get away with such atrocious customer service. First time, there were three of us standing at the counter waiting for two employees who were just standing at the register staring at the computer. They never looked up. They never said hello. They never said anything. So, after three minutes of standing there... I put my items back on the shelf and I left. Last time, I had the rudest most arrogant dude ring me up. As soon as I was done, he got in an argument with someone about his schedule. You know what? Do that stuff behind closed doors. It is really not professional and employees causing a negative scene in your store is *never* good for business. Seriously, I will only go here to get items that I need ASAP. Tubes, tires, tools, etc. Avoid if you can.
I'm not sure how this shop is getting bad reviews, they were patient and helpful, and even chatted me and my girlfriend up about biking in general and some local events.
They have a large selection of bikes, and the employees are pretty knowledgeable and willing to help. In particular, one employee, Ruthy, not only knew a lot about the bikes, but also extensively explained to me the different bike types and recommended a bike for me. Great work
The tech that serviced my bike is also very good, I immediately took the bike out 12 miles on a trail and it was top notch.
